About the show

Ős-P.BOX and Miklós Varga | New Babylon – Joint Holiday Concert

Christmas is also a time to pause for a moment. We look back, recall our shared experiences, and remember those whose music still accompanies us today.

Ős-P.Box and Miklós Varga evoke an era of Hungarian rock that remains defining for many of us to this day. The distinctive sound, the unmistakable vocals, and the power of the songs evoke personal memories: old concerts, friendships, and important chapters in our lives. On this evening, we can relive all of this together.

For the young musicians of Új Babylon, Omega’s legacy is also a family story. Their parents were part of the core of the close-knit fan community that formed around the band, so Omega’s songs have been a defining part of their daily lives since childhood. They practically absorbed this music with their mother’s milk, and today they pass it on with personal connection, love, and authenticity.
The band, which formed in 2013, has shared the stage with legendary members of Omega on several occasions: they’ve performed alongside László Benkő, György “Elefánt” Molnár, and János “Mecky” Kóbor. These encounters hold a special place in their history and make preserving Omega’s memory and musical legacy even more personal for them.

On this festive evening, generations come together on stage and in the audience. We are united by the songs, shared memories, and the joy of live music.

Let’s get together, reminisce, and relive together everything these songs mean to us.
